Ana Borisova

Ana Borisova was born in Dryanovo, Bulgaria in 1985.

In 2003 she graduated from Panayot Pipkov Music School in Pleven as a specialist in folk singing. During her education there she became laureate of many national folk singing competitions.

In 2008 she got her bachelor degree in Pedagogy of Music at the St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria. She completed her master's degree in the same filed of studies in 2010. In December 2012 Ana Borisova completed her second master’s degree in Performance Artistry at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv with Professor Dr. Svetla Stanilova.

From 2003 to 2006 she was part of the world famous Mystery of Bulgarian Voices choir conducted by Professor Dora Hristova. She also participated in Aqua Delia vocal ensemble conducted by Prof. Delyana Micheva and she performed in Bulgaria, Japan, Italy, Russia, Switzerland, Austria, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.

In 2006 she recorded her first solo album ­Holy Love.

Diplomas, awards and international participation of Ana Borisova

In 2004 Ana Borisova performed a concert tour with the Mystery of Bulgarian Voices world famous choir in Spain, Switzerland, Russia, Portugal.

In May 2005 as a soloist of Aqua Delia vocal ensemble conducted by Prof. Delyana Micheva she performed concert tours in Italy, Belgium and Luxembourg.

From October to December 2006 she performed a concert tour in Japan with Aqua Delia vocal ensemble.

In 2008 she performed a concert tour in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland and Sweden with Aqua Delia vocal ensemble.

In 2010 Ana provides audio and video record of “Drianovskite bulki” song. She also provides audio and video records of “Biala Maria” and “Rozba”. Ana Borisova is the author (lyrics and music) of the last two songs and they are arrangement by Alexander Mikhailov.

In 2011 she recorded the songs “Zableialo mi agance” arranged by Krassimir Kondov, “Dragano mome hubava” and “Bulgarska svatba” arranged by Vasil Denev.

Organizers of the National Competition “With songs of Binka Dobreva” awarded to Ana Borisova a diploma for vocal pedagogue and folk singer.

In 2011 Ana provides videos on national “Folklore TV”, where she sang “Bulgarska svatba”and Northern bunch of songs “Zasvirili sa Doine”.

In 2011 she won second prize in Bulgarian Folk Music in 7/8 Metre national contest.

In October 2012 during the celebration of the anniversary of the Balkan War, the Municipality of Veliko Turnovo and St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo gave Ana Borisova an award for her personal contribution to the development of culture in Veliko Turnovo.

On 23.01.2013 Ana Borisova was elected chairwoman of the newly formed Anna Folkart Association teaching children folk singing, music and dance.

In April 2013, Ana Borisova recorded her latest videos relating to Easter program of “Folklore TV”.

Ana Borisova participated in Christmas and New Year program in 2011 of “Folklore TV” presenting “Bulgarska svatba” and Northern bunch of songs “Zasvirili sa Doine”.

World Championship of Folklore, Sunny Beach, 2012 awarded to Ana Borisova a diploma “Maestro Academy”.

In 2013 Ana Borisova prepared new records that will be part of her second solo album.

On 18th June Anna Borisova and Gotse Velikov recordied a duet song “Gergiovden e libe le”. The author of the text of the song is Ana Borisova and it was written on a melody from Dobrudja region. Gotse Velikov is a student of Ana Borisova at “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” University of Veliko Tarnovo, Pedagogy of music with folklore singing. The song is arranged by Peyo Peev (instrumentalist of BNR) and is realized in the studio of Seyhan Saliev, Pleven.
